Chick-fil-a,
Friends,
Fun,
Special Event Just got back from earning me some more Chick-fil-a, and its a good thing because I was down to my last two cards from the grand opening in January. That means I’ve eaten there 33 times since January 8, or 9, I think 8 though. Thirty three because I gave 17 to Laura, one for each week we are apart this semester. (Speaking of my beautiful fiancee, she is enjoying a mac-daddy vacation in the Virgin Islands right now and I am so jealous I’m not with her and I miss her a ton)
Back to the Chick-fil-a story. It started out a beautiful day, sunny with a high of 75, a little hot at points, but that’s a real nice change around here. Around midnight things went south and it’s still raining as I type this. I got soaked in the tent, but it was well worth it…
Case and point.

Special Event 52 Free Meals!

I highly recommend a Chick-fil-a Grand Opening if you get the chance.
They give you free meals throughout the day while you wait (we got four).
They provided a generator for power, because their circuits kept blowing at first.
It was 28 degrees and snowing and windy most of the night, so having a space heater made it better.
I got on the live news twice and a radio interview, yeah pretty sweet.
We watched the Bourne Ultimatum when the wind finally stopped (to loud in the tent with the wind).
We’re doing another one in New Albany, IN in March.
Hopefully it will be warmer, but either way it will be another 52 free #1 combo meals.

Personal,
Root Beer,
Special Event “I’m 23 now but will I live to see 24 the way things is going I dont know” Gangster’s Paradise by Coolio
“Amazing still it seems, Ill be 23, I wont always love what Ill never have, I wont always live in my regrets” 23 by Jimmy Eat World
“Nobody likes you when you’re 23″ What’s My Age Again? by blink182
So there are quite a few songs that talk about being 23. In most of the ones I know of being 23 is not that great, but I got to say, it’s been pretty good so far. I mean I’m only on my second day of it, but on the first I was taken to Smokin’ Jim’s for lunch, my dad cooked me his world famous filet mignon for dinner (it was the best it’s ever been). I got 34 bottles of root beer from Laura (AKA: The best fiancee ever). 12 of Henry’s, 6 of Kutztown, 6 of Empire, 6, of Barrel Brother’s, and 4 of Baumeister. I’ve had all of them but Empire so far and they have been surprisingly good. My mom bought me some cool warm winter boots that are waterproof and I already took them hiking. Carrie and Adam got me an awesome frisbee that lights up when you turn it on, Laura and I took it out to a dark grass field parking lot last night to test it out, it was awesome. So I’m looking forward to the rest of 23.

Special Event The most beautiful girl on the planet said yes. I asked her to marry me and she said yes. Laura Brocco and I are officially engaged. She has a ring on her finger and story to go along with it. I am so thankful I get to marry her. She has a beauty that starts deep within her heart and soul and permeates her entire being. She is radiant and I cherish her so much.
I picked her up around 8:30am.
Then I took her to Cracker Barrel.
Then I took her hiking to Tioga Falls.
It was beautiful.

She thought I was going to propose under the waterfall
Then I told her to get ready because we were going “out” to dinner. Then while she was getting ready, in a dress and accessories I got specially for her on our engagement night, me and John Michael and Becca hurried like crazy to turn my living room into a romantic candle lit dining room with rose petals sprinkled all over the table and ground. The hall way from my room to the living room was lined with candles and had a rose petal trail leading her down the hall. When she came out she was completely surprised at the transformation. We had a nice dinner, except for the burnt garlic bread, but we didn’t each much anyway. After dinner I played a slideshow/video I had made for her and as it was ending I got down on one knee and proposed. The whole day and especially the night went so well!
Here’s some dinner pics.

The night was absolutely the best night ever. Now we get to have fun and talk about our wedding, which we’re thinkin’ll be next december.
p.s. Laura Brocco I love you with all that I am. I am looking forward to the rest of our lives together and I just can’t get enough of you. You are beautiful inside and out.
